Privacy Policy

This policy explains how Cleary Creative LLC (“we”), operator of PermitPager, handles information.

What we collect

• Account info you give us: email address, optional name and company.
• Permits you track: city and permit number, plus public permit data we fetch for them from city open-data feeds.
• Billing: paid plans are processed by our payment processor (Stripe). We receive subscription status and limited card details (e.g. brand, last 4 digits), never full card numbers.
• Basic technical data: IP address and request logs, used for security and rate limiting.

How we use it

To check your permits, send the alerts and account emails you signed up for, bill paid plans, prevent abuse, and improve the Service. We do not sell your personal information and do not share it for cross-context behavioral advertising.

Who we share it with

Only service providers that help us run PermitPager (hosting, database, email delivery, payments), under their own confidentiality and security terms, or when required by law.

Emails

Every alert includes an unsubscribe link. You can stop alerts or delete your account at any time.

Retention and deletion

We keep account data while your account is active and delete it within 30 days of a deletion request, except where we must keep billing records for legal or tax reasons. Public permit data is public record and may be retained.

Your rights

You can request access to, correction of, or deletion of your personal information by contacting us. Residents of some states have additional rights under their state law. We will honor them as required.

Business contacts from public permit records

We may email contractors whose business email address appears in a city's public building-permit data, to offer PermitPager for permits they are working on. We use only the business contact details and permit facts published by the city (contractor name, email, permit number, address and status). Every such email identifies us, includes our mailing address, and has a one-click unsubscribe; replying "unsubscribe" also works. Once you opt out we never email you again, and we never sell or share this data.
